We are Amanda & Shawn King, hosts of Trying 2 Parent Podcast, & NO we are NOT pregnant JUST YET but we wanted to invite you guys to join us on our adventure as we move out of the country #Mexico, simplify our life’s, have one if not two babies with dual citizenship, & raise our kids to be global citizens. Join us as we explain how over the past year we’ve been trying to get pregnant. We’ll share with you guys the ups the downs, the good, the bad and everything in between because to be honest things haven’t been easy for us, they haven’t been smooth and they definitely haven’t gone as planned. But…. We believe raising a family takes a Tribe. We want to share this journey with y’all because we know much like our story this process of becoming a parent isn’t easy for everyone. So we want the advice from our friends and family who have done it correctly before us. Plus the usual tips and tricks on how not to F!ck things up. And by “things” I mean our kids. To be honest we don’t know exactly what we’re doing which is why we’re asking you to join us as we learn first hand. That starts with trying to convince which we’re pretty good at, and ends with our kids most likely putting us in a home. This will be brutally honest, quite descriptive, & full of attempts at poorly timed humor mostly by Amanda because she’s not the funniest person around. We will be taking listener questions that we are likely... Actually certainly unqualified to answer. Well Sh!t, we hope ya'll enjoy episode 13 because we just recorded the entire thing and my damn SD card deleted it haha. I can only assume that the episode was complete dog Sh!t and was never meant to be listened to so you're welcome. We completely rerecorded it and this is what we came up with so good luck.
We finally made it to Mexico. If you were interested in exactly where we moved then open up a map, go all the way east on the peninsula, find Cancun and look just south. We have officially planted our roots in Playa Del Carmen which is located in the state of Quintana Roo and damn is it beautiful. On this episode of the podcast we talk about our journey all the way across the country of Mexico and why we would never make that drive again ha. We tell you about the good the bad and the misrepresented. Of course we give you our highs and lows, we talk about some more great memories from the 90's and so much more.

It's episode 12 ya'll and we're finally moving to Mexico. Believe me when I say it's been a shakey start to our year but things are definitely turning around. We received some "much better" news from the doctor Amanda was seeing which definitely lifted our spirits after the horrible news they gave us a couple weeks ago that we discussed on episode 11. But at the end of the day I'd rather get some bad news first freak out a little about it and then find out that it wasn't that serious at all.
On this weeks episode we complain for a little bit "like always" about some of our old "friends" who put us in a bit of a sticky situation before our move, we discuss our highs & lows, we chat about some things we loved from growing up in the 90's and I tell you why researchers say people who are parents are naturally happier.

It's been a rough week for us. After going to our first official doctors appointment and finding out we had lost the baby we just really didn't know what to do. It really freaking sucks but we cried our tears, we consoled one another told the people we needed to tell and tried to move on.
Luckily my mom was in town helping us fix up the house after the renters trashed it so she was there to really support us in our time of need. We know this is a pretty common thing and it usually happens for a reason that's out of our control but it still sucks a big bag of dicks.
Anyways, we wanted to make sure and share this part of our journey with you guys because like we said before, we know we're not special, we know this has happened to many of our friends and family members and will continue to happen. We just want you guys out there to know, if it ever happens to you, we're her to support you in any way possible and we appreciate the love and support we receive in our time of need from ya'll.

It's episode 10! We're a bit behind due to the move and Christmas celebration but we made it happen, we're officially in AZ. The baby in currently 9 weeks old & is slightly bigger than a lime. Baby's joints are beginning to move. Fingers and toes are defined and the mouth, nose, and eyes have become more distinct. I don't think mood swings have been affecting Amanda much at all but the move makes things a bit more stressful. Today we get into our trip down to AZ as well as a full explanation of what Placenta is and why it's so important. We also discuss the recall of head shaping pillows and why those are a Big NO NO.

Feliz Navidad! It's the last episode before Christmas and oh what a week it has been. We leave Washington in 2 days and we might be a little behind. Our trailer is too full so it appears we'll be burning the rest. The baby is officially 8 weeks old and the size of a raspberry. It's growing at a millimeter a day and is currently forming its male or female parts. Today we talk about some very interesting pregnancy facts & Amanda's increased gassiness.

What chu know about that Hip Hop Christmas? On this weeks podcast the baby turns 7 weeks. It's the size of a blueberry & 10,000 times bigger than at conception. Amanda still hasn't experienced any morning sickness but is having some slight food aversions. Pregnancy cravings should be starting this week but unfortunately nothing is currently sounding tasty.

Are people really getting Covid again? On this episode of the podcast we're just outside of two weeks from moving our little family the first 1000 miles of our trip. We confirm if the baby is mine or not. Amanda continues to take pee test because the doctor won't see her but our baby is 6 weeks old and is currently developing eyes, ears, lungs, kidneys & a liver.

8 months later and it's Episode #5. We're Pregnant & oh yes we have decided we're moving to Mexico for the next couple years! 11 months later and we've finally done it.
