T2P Episode 51: Third Times A Charm

What's up everyone, welcome back to the Trying 2 Parent Podcast! Episode 51, and guess what? We're on the baby countdown—just six weeks left! Can you believe it?

Thanksgiving came and went, and let me tell you, experiencing it in a country where it's not celebrated is a trip! Work’s been keeping us on our toes too, which, honestly, is a good distraction amidst the baby anticipation.

So, diving into the big stuff: Amanda's now at 34 weeks, and wow, it’s hitting us hard. The changing table we ordered arrived, and that leads us to the next big question: Do we need a special trash can to avoid our room smelling like ish?

Speaking of which, there's this whole thing about brand new baby ish not smelling until you introduce formula. Can that be real? I'm skeptical, that sh!ts gotta stink, right?

Our recent checkup was great! Our little dude’s kicking himself in the face, which is a promising sign lol. 

Still no visuals of little man though, so it seems like he's preparing for a grand entrance. We met with a potential new doula, and bonus, discovered an amazing French pastry place! It's the little things that keep this baby journey exciting ha

Now, onto the baby updates:

• Highs: Thanksgiving with friends was fantastic, and getting a guy's policy approved was a real win.
• Low: Amanda tweaked her back, which wasn't fun at all.

In the news, we’re exploring postpartum traditions from around the world. It’s fascinating to see how different cultures handle this significant phase.

• First team to win three Super Bowls? Steelers for the win!
